The ruling family of the hydrocarbon-rich state of Qatar has decided to its capital city Doha as the centre of the Gulf region.
Doha’s growing corporate and commercial activity, which will include the FIFA World Cup 2022, has initiated a number of impressive construction projects, and the Public Works Authority (PWA) has recently announced that several “state-of-the-art” pedestrian bridges will be built around the city.

But, in the case of the new Port of Brisbane Office Building in Brisbane, Australia, the explanation is much simpler. Architect Thomson Adsett raised the three storey building by approximately one storey in order to allow occupants to benefit from the view.
