Ferrari World
One design issue that was never in question at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi was the colour of the roof cladding. Ferrari red was the only colour under discussion for this giant building whose roof, splatted like an outsize starfish onto Yas Island, apparently mimics the double-curvature of the side elevation of a Ferrari GT.

Amstelveen Theater tower
While both bigger and better - in terms of functionality - than the original 1975 edifice it replaces, the newly restored Amstelveen Theater tower is perhaps most remarkable for its shimmering golden façade, which is pimpled with regularly positioned, 13cm-deep hydroformed hemispheres.

High school Clouet
'Transformation' is a word that is used too commonly in schools, but in the case of the high school Francois Clouet in Tours, central France, it is appropriate. The original school, built in the 1960s, was constructed inexpensively, and it showed. Now architect Dubosc & Associés has retained and upgraded one of the buildings and built two new ones, giving the school an entirely new look and feel. 'I must say - with a little pride,' said Eric Dubosc, ‘that the teachers and the pupils, who did not like the old school at all, adore the new one.'
